Is How I Would Best Describe This Beautiful and Amazing Backyard Bash!
I am thrilled to be sharing highlights from another one of my favorite weddings. Feast your eyes on scenes from Ellen and Bill’s nuptials on July 10th, 2010.
A huge thank you and shout-out to Tanya Lacourse, of Violet Marsh Photography, who captured the festivities STUNNINGLY!!! Tanya is such an amazing talent. If you have not already booked your photographer and are still in the market for someone artistic, cutting edge and FABULOUS, do yourself a favor and consider Violet Marsh Photography.
Ellen Jipson, now Ellen Kelly (yay!!!) is an incredibly gifted graphic designer based in Salem, MA. Ellen and Bill decided to wed in her parents’ beautifully manicured backyard in Goffstown, NH. The newlyweds’ sense of humor and aesthetic are well-captured in these hilarious and nicely done signs.
Ellen came up with these cute programs that also doubled up as fans. Guests truly appreciated the gesture considering the wedding occurred in the middle of an intense New England heatwave.
Here is a snapshot of the happiest groom I have ever seen! This is moments before the couple embrace during their first look. It is obvious that Bill really loves what he sees.
The relaxed wedding atmosphere encouraged guests to get outside and play some lawn games.
Outside was also where guests could find the DIY photo booth – consisting of a sturdy backdrop in the cute and fun wedding colors (yellow and white). Accoutrements such as fake moustaches, hats and, of course instructions, were also provided!
No wedding is ever complete without a few cute kids and dogs. This wedding was no exception! How sweet is this little girl?
I fell in love with this dog! Ellen’s parents’ named their pets after real people names… to which I never failed to chuckle every time they were being called after. Two big lovable teddy bears named Beau and Dave. It was funny to see the dogs responding to their people names! Ellen insisted that the dogs wore complimentary gingham bandanas in the wedding colors. The result? TOTAL CUTENESS!!! Above are a couple snapshots of Dave.
Ellen and Bill got really creative with their food too! The wedding was catered by Tennessee’s Real BBQ based in Braintree, MA. Dave, the owner (not to be confused with Dave, the yellow lab) is FABULOUS and the food was out of this world (and I am a bit of a food snob). Seriously the best pulled pork I’ve ever tasted (besides Ken’s of course!)! The above feature creative shots of the non-alcoholic beverages as well as the carefully laid out dessert buffet.
Have you ever seen bottles of beer looking so beautiful?
What a gorgeous day! Thank you so much Ellen and Bill. They are such soulmates and sweethearts. I am so honored and beyond grateful to have been a part of it!! Prosperity, love and happiness to you both! XO
